Broken Stuff

I acquired a new domain for a different project, and had my server migrated to a new one, the problem is that it broke a few things, like the comments box (now replaced), and CoHWiki is also down, it should be resolved soon. If anyone runs into other errors, please let me know.

Edit: Oh wow Tech Support fixed the Wiki while I was typing this... awesome... lol

Quick Update

I finished the updating target tables weeks ago in case you haven’t noticed. Since the data is generated automatically, you will notice there are now a ton more targets for each weapons, feel free to remove anything that seems illogical, but post your changes on the talk pages.

Panzer Elite Veterancy

Finally finished the Panzer Elite veterancy sharing page Panzer Elite Veterancy.
I remember a Relic developers commenting on this feature, he said that all units in the radius are suppose to share the 50%, but it does not appear to be the case here. I cannot find his comments, it was many months ago. So this could be a game bug, or bug in my memory.

I will be adding target tables to the Wiki this week.

Been thinking about it lately, I didn't want to move too much to the wiki, but its just so much easier for me, I got no other choice.
Anyways I figured I should dump all the target table info onto the wiki.

Some Guides

Tested a bunch of things last night, and the second hidden change I mentioned is pretty busted, or at least cannot be confirmed a part of it as I couldn’t do a team game with AI and monitor its income. But the fuel income from the abilities and captain's vet as been increased from +3.8 to 4.0. Also tested were how Vampire Halftrack steals, and how AI works when something is garrisoned.

Patch 2.301 Update

First, Silly Rabbit! Trix Are for Kids! made a new list for XPs (the green numbers) for the Wiki, its very useful and saved me from all the math maddness.

Also I removed the comments box from this page because it just looks lame when the monitor is small... you can still access it by clicking Chit Chat just below the site logo.

Now... Change Log for 2.301 (Gameplay Changes Only):
- British Bren carriers and Bren gunners will no longer be able to button Flakvierlings, 88s, AT guns, Howitzers.
- Strafing run has been tuned.
- US M8 Greyhound and Wehrmacht SdKfz 234 Armoured cars have had their target accuracy modifiers increased from 0.73 and 0.82 respectively to 0.9. (Most)
- US M8 Greyhound and SdKfz 234 Armoured Cars moving accuracy modifiers changed from 0.6 to 0.8. (Most)
- Light vehicle received accuracy modifier on light engine damage critical changed from 1.25 to 1.35.
- Sniper detection radius reduced from 3m to 1m.
- Panzer Elite Defensive Veterancy Vehicle modifiers tuned at vet levels 2 and 3. Received accuracy and damage modifiers reduced, health maximum modifiers reduced.
- Panzer Elite 222 Armoured cars have their health bonus at Vet 1 reduced from 30 to 15.

Hidden Changes:
- Sandbags, Barbed Wire, and Tank Trap camouflage detection possibly removed.
- Captain Veterancy, Secured Resourcing and Improved Command Vehicles resource bonuses tuned.

"Tuned" because I have no idea what is going on. I need help confirming and testing the second hidden change... I am sure its there, but not sure how it works, it looks weird, could be bugged... can't test it because CoH:OF Cannot Verify Media...

New Lists and Changes

Made some changes to a few lists, and added two new ones
Infantry Costs (Now based on squads)
Vehicle Speed List (Resorted by faction)
Vehicle Gun Tracking Speed (Added aim time)
Machine Gun DPS (Removed excess numbers)
Rifle DPS (Removed excess numbers)

Added two new lists: Suppression Per Second (SPS)
Machine Gun SPS
Rifle SPS

Formulas are based on DPS formulas described here, but replaced accuracy and damage with suppression.
No one has really done it before so I can't comment on accuracy, but it looked right to me.

If you plan to add modifiers or do additional work to the existing DPS/SPS lists, such as moving, vs targets, etc... Excel sheets are available upon request.
Macros for mod tools are also available if you want to verify things etc.

A month since the last news...

I figured I should write something before everyone assume Im dead. Unfortunately other than minor fixes, not much has changed, except for the rapid expansion at CoHWiki, many thanks to all the contributors. However it is still in need of information, your contributions are needed!

I also found a neat feature on the wiki that I'll be working on for a bit, I made this sort-able Vehicle Speed List, now you can see all the speed data in one table. I plan to do the same for cost of vehicles/infantry and buildings, I am also looking for suggestions on what I should do next, what you want to see is what I will make. The tables are super easy to do, takes like 10 mins a table for me, just be specific and no insane requests.

Patch is finally out, I won't be doing a list this time because it'll take 10 pages, I checked for differences between the Beta 2.317 and the new Retail 2.300, and these are the difference:

- Wehrmacht defensive artillery fixes.
- Description fixed.

Yup, its basically 2.317, which means I am up-to-date.

Wiki yeah!

I am launching the Wiki section of CoH-Stats.com, the general goals and layouts are set, the rest is up to everyone, of course I will be adding a lot more stuff soon. Yes I know my wiki index page is crap, thats because I just started adding stuff today lol.
A brief page list has been assembled, and it is in no way complete, I will be adding additional guidelines and instructions later today on the forum. Please register and post your thoughts on the Suggestion/Improvements area. Click here to goto the forum.

Updates finally

A bunch of updates this week. First and the most important, CoH-Stats now has its own forums. I have free space just sitting there, which can be better utilized by members of the community. Currently Metternich is the new forum administrator; the new forum is all about speculating and theorizing what may be in the next CoH title. If you have or think you have good ideas, share them with the community. Please contact Metternich if you wish to offer further assistance or suggestions. Click here to goto the forum.

Another contributions news BlackOmne has generously provided tactical maps screenshots for all current multiplayer maps. The old ones I had were very outdated. You can now access the new tactical maps via a new link in the Map Index, you can't miss it.

Now on to the Wikipedia thats sitting there, I sort of figured out what I want to do with it 5 minutes ago. The plan is to turn it into an extended tutorial of CoH, without the complicated numbers. It would include mostly straightforward tutorials and explanations, using only superficial statistics. The goal is to create something newbie friendly. I am looking for volunteers who are interested in contributing to this project and get it started, especially people with Wiki writing/operating experience. Contact Me if you are interested.

Oh and stats are updated to 3.317! Hopefully they will update the retail soon.

Miscellaneous Services

Lately I have been thinking about site expansion, but I can't think of anything interesting, plus its getting pretty busy around here, and there is still a lot of stats that can be added... Which means, I am now looking for competent individuals or groups who are interested in running a Wiki and/or Forum services.

This is completely free and optional, you won't see a bill from me, you don't work for me either, because you are allowed to do whatever you want. The content must be CoH related, and must be open to the public, you can get as many friends as you want to help you out, you are the boss, put your name in the credits. However I am still very responsible for everything you do, so it will be monitored. As for ideas, I perfer something that is not done already, something unique to the CoH community, it can go beyond gameplay, but there has to be some connection. For example: histroy of CoH units wiki, CoH comics forum, etc... I'm just making things up but you get the idea.

Keyword is service. If you are interested, send me an Email. I'm looking for something original and has potential.

Beta 2.315

Today I doubled the website, literally, I've uploaded all beta 2.315 statistics, but 2.201 statistics will forever be available via these links. I will make them easier to get to later this week.

There are maybe two things I still need to add to the 2.315, one of them is nebelwerfer veterancy. The other I don’t remember right now. 2.201 files will no longer be supported unless it’s something really serious.
All menus on this site points to current patch numbers, including menus on the 2.201 related pages. Links to 2.201 will be added later.
Zaxis’s calculators still carry 2.201 statistics, they will be updated when the retail patch comes out.

Site Updates

Since my internet wasn't working, I spent some time fixing thing... A lot has changed. I removed the space on the far right, added more width to the left column, and made a few additions to it. The menus on the right are very underused, probably because we all have the back button. Now theres is more room for content, after all this is why you are here reading this... This fix should also fix problems for lower resolution displays. Someone asked me why the color theme is black/grey, the simple answer is because I usually work on computers when its dark outside, and it is a lot easier on the eyes to look at something dark. This can be changed however, if you can show me a good color theme, maybe something more CoH-ish.
Anyways, you can also access just the tab menus on the left by going to:

Scatter Guide, Update and Feedback Time

Let the link do the talking, scatter probably isn't too important to most people but it does have a massice role in the game.

Today's update includes new Commander Pages for American and Wehrmacht factions. As well as many weapons target table updates that includes some requests, more are on the way.

Lately there have been a lot of questions regarding where to find stuff, both in the forums and on the comments box, so I am looking for suggestions on how to improve the navigation. I do have a search function on the right near the top, maybe that should be the first place people check, and it does work pretty well. Keep in mind that there are about 700-800 individual pages, and sometimes information are scattered, especially things under Basics. Suggestions are welcome, as I am currently focused on fixing things instead of updating stats (waiting on patch), nothing is impossible, just don't ask for a resolution fix for lower resolutions... too big of an overhaul at this time.

A few things...

A few things to talk about, first its the Team Automatch Beta for Opposing Fronts, I have no plans to include beta statistics, mainly because Relic has been releasing patches like crazy these days. Relic also fixed pretty much everything I've posted, which is awesome, everyone should go try it out.

And then there is the new CoH podcast on GR.org by bawx, prawn and evotech, a very good one, and I totally agree that Stats and Strat are 98.7% related lol. Check it out...

Finally there is the weapons DPS (damage per second) calculator by Darth Zaxis, it is extreamly easy to use, just click buttons, easy to add new weapons if you know what you are doing, check it out. I loaded all the rifle type weapons into the calculator data files, its very interesting to see DPS on graphs. This is just the beta, hopefully there will be new features in future versions.

Cool Bug

Not really cool, just adding another bug to the list. SoulessCorpse has noticed something very interesting, Vetted Hetzers and Jadgpanthers gets a +3 in vs. infantry.
After some looking around, I've found the problem... Hetzers and Jagdpanthers are given the tank top MG42 at veterancy level two, the addition of this upgrade will result in +3 vs infantry, and side skirts as well as a penetration bonus at level three. I tested this in game, and the extra MG42, even though invibisible, do fire and damage. The skirts don't show up and there is no armor type change, but the penetration modifier do work.

I've updated the Hetzer and Jadgpanther pages. Choosing offensive or defensive veterancy is not required, it works much like standard veterancy, once you reach enough xp, you get them.

Small Update

Added additional target table entries for droppable/capturable AT weapons such as the Bazooka and AT Emplacement as requested. I wouldn't mention this unless there were interesting finds - more broken tables, Bazooka can have perfect penetration too!

New Video

In this new video I'll show you how to get a level 6 veterancy heavy weapons squad, this is only available for American and Panzer Elite forces, Wehrmacht needs over 1,000 exp to vet up and captured squads are unaffected by KKC upgrades, however you can upgrade your infantry and have them take over heavy weapons, so no need to buy support veterancy ever again, British has all of its vets on Officers, who cannot capture heavy weapons.

So in this one, modified Riflemen with vet 3 cannot be killed, and HMG with vet 3 will not cooldown or reload during bursts, grab a HMG with vet 3 riflemen, then gain 3 additional level of veterancy gives you 6 levels of veterancy.

Patch Update, plus hidden changes

Airborne Satchel Charges reduced in cost from 75munitions to 50munitions.
American 105mm artillery barrage recharge increased by 25s.
American 76mm gun upgrade cost reduced from 200mp/100fuel to 200mp/85fuel.
American Airborne Recoilless Rifles have their setup times reduced to enable them to fire more effectively at moving vehicles.
American BAR weapon damage modifier increased from .5 to .75 against Marder III armour type. BAR will do more damage when it penetrates the armour of the Marder III.
American Offmap artillery arrival delay reduced by 1s.
American Rangers have some changes to their veterancy. Vet 1 received accuracy bonus is moved to Vet 2. Vet 2 received damage modifier is moved to Vet 1.
American Rangers have their reinforce costs increased by approximately 10mp per soldier.

I got this suggestions from the comments/suggestion box, I wanted to reply there but it would take alot of room so I'll just do it here.

"I think a major way to improve this site is the way information is given. Most people would want to have a quick view of an unit and altough the reload and wind up/down info are interesting, they are no use to quick analysis. So i would suggest to indicate the rate of fire per minute per weapons and then calculate the firepower of the squads into damage per seconds @ each range, and that per unit setups. That would give great info to visitors with minimum perusing! I know its a lot of work though :P" - Anonymous

I too think a bunch people are looking for brief, instant information on this site, without going wtf does this mean and etc. I know how important instant information is, but its not my fault that Company of Heroes is so deep and complex =P. In fact, this site was extremely simple when it was first launched, health, cost, damage, accuracy... a few tables that explain things and that’s about it. Overtime, suggestions piled up, new weird things are being discovered and people asked WHY, and WHY things happen is a major focus for this site. For example the wind up/dn stuff, someone was trying to figure out which weapon is better, and they noticed that cooldown is only a part of the delay between shots, resulting in messed up calculations. Same happened with almost every other new addition on this site people just want to know what’s going on.

I know how a lot of this can be intimating to someone who just picked up CoH, and didn’t know there are so many variables in the game, sadly this is how it is. This is also the reason why I don't do DPS, too many randomness and things that may affect the outcome greatly, it is however, doable for small arms weapons but for the big guns, with penetration mixed in, they are just too inaccurate and can give people false impressions. However I do encourage people to calculate their own DPS for whatever test they are doing, I could probably provide a formulas. I don't like math tbh. A simple version of everything does sound interesting however, and it is something that I hope I can add in the future.

Not a huge update, but here it goes

Contents for Download

I moved all the loading screens to my other server which I never use, but due to the restrictions on that server, I am only able to upload files smaller than 10MB, so I had to chop them up into smaller pieces. You can find all the downloadable content under Downloads
In a few days I will also upload a lot audio pieces, such as batterchatters.

I cannot guarantee anything on the other server, the bandwidth is limited, and I will not upload them again if downloads exceeds the limit. It is however, very fast and reliable and should have no downtimes.

This video will explain some of the bizarre things that happen in the game, from not being able to damage things with Goliath, artillery and many other explosives, to why PaKs suck to much even though Relic say they should own.

The reason I added this one is because received accuracy multipliers has become a major part of Panzer Elite defensive veterancy, with proper stacking with other abilities, you can have as low as 45% reduction on any vehicle, which means it cannot be damaged 45% of the time even if a gain bomb land right next to it. and first strike is now available on more than just the 50mm PaK. You can find them on Fallshirmjager and Sappers.

What you see in the video is MG/Snipers with default received accuracy modifiers, some of them are not getting killed by the goliath explosions, because explosives like all other weapons are either hits or misses, a "missed" explosion cannot damage its target, even if its next to it, and make you go WTF.
Part two is a first strike test, first strike is available on 50mm PaKs, Sappers, Fallshirmjagers and Hetzer, excluding the Hetzer, the rest of them all have a duration for their bonus, however the game only count the first shot, and ignore the durations. So there are 4 Panzerschrecks firing on the bunker in game, without first strike bonus, they do 1 damage, and is not really noticeable, cammoed troopers' first volley will damage the bunker, but the next volley does nothing, so the duration is not counted.

Mini Update

Tired of waiting for the patch, so I just finished the British buildings and abilities sections, some typos, and menus. Be aware that the stats on this site is potentially 1-2 patches ahead of your game.
Seriously reconsidering the SP walkthrough part, it was a bit easy to be honest, but I'll make that decision when I finish the SP pages.

- Munition Halftrack cost reduced to 200mp/15fuel
- Panzer Elite Defensive Operations cost increased to 150mp/30fuel
- Panzer Elite Mortar Halftrack barrage tuned. 1 second added to each cooldown.
- M8 Greyhound 37mm gun cooldown lowered to 7s from 9s.
- American 76mm gun upgrade cost lowered by 15 fuel.

- Button vehicle will disable coaxial MGs before the main gun. Main gun will remain active for 5 seconds after ability is applied.

- Removed rear damage enabled flag from Kettenkrad.

A thing about the armor skirts...
Is that they appears to be broken, the only one that is correct is Panzer Elite Panzer IV upgrade, there is no armor type change in StuG/H, Wehrmacht Panzer IV, and Panthers, or at least I havn't found them yet
Another problem is that these upgrades will make the Panzer IV easier to hit by some tank weapons. Bofors 40mm also has a bug vs Panthers with skirts.

O.K. another bug...
If it was tiny I wouldn't even mention it... There is a problem with British/Panzer Elite vets, some vehicles are giving extreamly low experience values when killed. See for yourselves at Vet Gain Basics

Opposing Front OF Beta Update

I know you've been waiting, and now the open beta is here, British and Panzer Elite factions are open. Stats are based on the Opposing Front Open Beta, all vCoH content has also been updated. A few things though, there might be errors with page titles, wrong images, broken links, missing menus, etc... not all vCoH has been updated to match the beta, but all beta related stuff should be there.

The current priority is to finish the british units pages, update all vCoH weapon contents, and update basics guides. vCoH stuff will no longer be available after today.
As usual, report errors/whatever in the box to the right

Faction Information / New Shoutbox

Added the American Information and Wehrmacht Information indexes. Once finished, it will contain all in-game tooltip descriptions, and more. Currently only Infantry, Vehicles and Buildings pages are finished.

The only balance change was for the Allied War Machine, duration has been decreased and cooldown is increased. The cost of the ability has not been increased to 250 munitions, because it was never anything other than 250 munitions...
